What is The Calverton Fund?
The Calverton Fund is our primary fundraising vehicle. It fuels every aspect of a Calverton education. High participation rates show confidence and strong community support for the school.
Does Calverton publish a list of donors to The Calverton Fund?
Yes! The school’s annual Philanthropy Report, published in the fall, lists each donor to the Calverton Fund. You may choose to be anonymous, as well.
Doesn't tuition cover the costs of the school?
Tuition does not cover the cost of operating the school. Most, if not all, private schools rely on annual funds to close “the gap,” the cost of tuition against the cost of providing a top-tier eduction. Additionally, the more successful the Calverton Fund is, the more dynamic we can make the school and differentiate it from others.
I can't give enough to make a difference.
EVERY GIFT MAKES A DIFFERENCE! The cummulative giving effect of the Calverton community is tremendous. The overall financial contribution is critical, and it is an incredibly powerful differentiator for a school to be able to boast a high percentage of participation from its parents, past parents, alumni, grandparents and frineds.
What is Calverton's Giving Day?
A day of giving is a 24-hr fundraising campaign designed to rally supporters, both existing and new, around our mission. It creates a sense of excitement, urgency and friendly competition in our community. Calverton’s Giving Day will begin at 12am on Tuesday, December 3 and end at 11:59pm.
Can I make a gift before the Giving Day and have it count towards the challenges?
Absolutely! Gifts made on this site all count towards Calverton’s Giving goals and challenges. Thank you for jump starting this campaign with an early gift!
What are the Leadership Council Giving Levels?
All Leadership Council donors are invited to attend a recognition dinner celebrating their previous year’s support. Leadership support begins at $1,000.
Will one gift count for each of my children's grade level that attend Calverton?
Yes! If you have more than one child at Calverton, please be sure and add each child’s grade in the giving form section. Each child will receive credit for their individual grade level and division challenges.
Can my gift count for multiple challenges?
Yes, it’s possible! If a challenge is running simultaneously with another, your gift will count in both scenarios, thereby maximizing your gift matches. This is especially true for alumni who are also current parents. Just be sure to add your “affliations” (alumni + year, current parent + grade) when prompted within the gift form.
Where do I add a name if my gift is in honor/memory of someone?
On the giving form, after you form of payment has been input, a page will pop up that will allow you to make your gift in honor/memory of someone and enter that person’s name. There will also be an option for comments and uploading a photo/image.
Is my gift tax-deductible?
Yes, Calverton is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. All donations are tax deductible as allowed by law. Our federal tax ID # is 52-0853724.
